MHCC Rolex 24 hour at Daytona Kick at The Dojo – January 30th

We are having a Rolex 24 hours at Daytona Kick off party at the Dojo, we will open the doors at 12:30p on Saturday and we will shutdown when TV coverage goes dark at 9p. The dojo misses race weekends almost as much we do. the fridge is full soda and water and we hope the coffee maker still works.

St Paul Winter Carnival January – 28th – February 7th

The Winter Carnival kicks off this weekend in St Paul, there are many events that will take place over the upcoming week. There are several events going on you can check out the full event schedule but some highlights are the Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt, 2016 Autonomous Snowplow Competition, Winter Carnival Ice Palace display and Music Series.

Ice Castles MN – Now until warmer weather hits.

If St Paul is too much a drive and you still want to see ice formed into a castle, Eden Prairie has their Ice Castle display open in Miller Park

Winter Snow Tubing – Now until the snow melts

After a few more days of cold temperatures our bodies will acclimate so much that the next bout of 20+ degree-days will feel like a heat wave. When this happens why not get out of the house and embrace winter a bit by snow tubing? Omnifest — January 8th through March 3

This Friday the Science Museum of Minnesota kicks off Omnifest, a two-month film-fest of sorts featuring five different big films on the Omnitheater’s giant screen. The scheduled films include: Jerusalem, Forces of Nature, Mysteries of the Great Lakes, and Humpback Whales.

Wells Fargo Winter Skate – November 20th through February 7th

Visit the sister city of Saint Paul for a free winter skating event in the heart of the city. The historic Landmark Center sits as the backdrop for the rink and hosts a number of winter revelries throughout the season. Gather the kids, dust of your skates and head to St. Paul for a night of winter fun.

Ninth Annual Art Sled Rally – Saturday, January 30th

There’s something undeniably exciting about building a ridiculous contraption in the hopes that it will successfully soar down a snow- and ice-slicked hill. That’s the premise behind the annual Art Sled Rally. Each year, kids and grown-ups come together to build the wildest structures they can to send down a slope in Powderhorn Park
