Although this race does not have nearly as much glamour as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, it is easily just as grueling if not even far more grueling than the French race. The race in question is the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, otherwise known as the Nurburgring 24. This past weekend, racing teams from all around the world pulled one intense all nighter in hopes of taking home a victory from this famed track. Porsche had a strong lead for the entirety of the race but was hit last minute with a 5 minute stop and hold penalty for overtaking under a yellow flag. Audi Team Phoenix then swooped in from second place and took home the win. Read about the race highlights here.

Along with the Nurburgring, the French Grand Prix rolled around and to most of our speculations before the race, it was very boring. Mercedes went 1st and 2nd with Hamilton and Bottas in that respective order. This race marked Hamilton’s 79th career win and there was no competition whatsoever. On roughly the 30th lap, Hamilton already had a major 12 second lead on Bottas almost guaranteeing himself the win, which in the end, it did. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc came in 3rd followed by Max Verstappen and Sebastian Vettel. Catch up on the whole race here.

Everyone enjoys James Bond. Aside from the fight scenes and spy technology, the car chases are generally very well done. In the last James Bond, we saw him racing through the streets in an Aston Martin DB10 while being chased by a Jaguar C-X75. The only bummer is these were both concept cars and never came to fruition after the movie. Well, in James Bond 25, Mr. Bond himself will be driving the all new Aston Martin Valhalla, originally named the AM-RB003. So for the low price of nearly $1.5 Million, you too can finally cruise around like James Bond… Except not really. Only 500 will be made and I am sure we can all assume that those allocations have been filled, but hey, there is always Bond 26.

The American horsepower war rages on between Ford, Chevy, and Dodge. The all new 2020 Shelby GT500 was released sometime ago but the power figures for the car were not released. We all speculated it would be something astronomical and to our liking, the horsepower figure is very high. Ford has released that the all new Shelby GT500 will produce a wicked 760hp and 625 lb-ft of torque. Although the Dodge Demon can produce 800hp, the Shelby should arguably be a better all around car than the Demon and it should be much quicker around a track than a demon would be. Its only a matter of time before GT500 vs. Demon drag racing videos appear on YouTube.
