You Auto Know – Servicing Your Vehicle

By | 2018-03-23T08:39:10+00:00 March 23rd, 2018|You Auto Know|0 Comments

When it comes time to service your vehicle, you have a lot of options. We’re here to help clear up some of the confusion about why it’s important to service your vehicle at a dealership, and why you should stay on top of maintenance schedules. Why should I get my car serviced at the dealership? Our technicians are trained to deal with your specific car brand. Because our technicians are  factory-trained, they’re extremely knowledgeable about your car brand, and are able to quickly and efficiently diagnose any issues with your vehicle, saving you time and money. Why should I take my car to the dealership versus an independent shop? Even something as little as an improper oil change can have a detrimental effect on your vehicle. When you bring your vehicle to the dealership, you can rest assured knowing we only use OEM parts. We also have specialty tools the manufacturer requires, while independent shops may not have access to them. Our dealerships and employees are representatives of their manufacturer, and because of this, are held to very high standards. Independent shops are not certified by the manufacturer, so they aren’t held to the same standards. What is preventative maintenance and why do I need it? Preventative maintenance is regular service that needs to be performed on your vehicle. These services are things such as oil changes, fluid flushes, and belt replacements. This is important to lessen the likelihood of malfunction, which could result in costly repairs. To find the service [...]

Flexin’ in Colorado

By | 2018-03-13T09:09:49+00:00 March 13th, 2018|Uncategorized|0 Comments

Let me start off this blog post about a Ford Flex by saying, the Flex has never really appealed to me. Although I like the Honda Element, the Ford Flex seemed too similar to a hearse for my liking. When they first came out, my dad and I would make fun of each one we saw. Then, while planning a trip out to Colorado, I came to the realization that the Flex would be the perfect car. When I first started looking at rental cars on Turo, I knew I wanted something with AWD since we would be in the mountains, preferably a Subaru. But the more I thought about it, the more a Subaru didn’t make sense. We needed to transport 5 people, 2 snowboard bags, and 4 suitcases all in one vehicle. After much debate, I decided to go for the boxy, hearse-like Flex and rented it for our trip. As soon as we arrived and checked out the vehicle, I was immediately surprised by how much space it had. The third row of seats folds flat into the floor, so when they’re up, you have extra storage space. We were able to fold down only the right side of the second and third row so we had room for the snowboard bags, and still had enough seating for everyone in our group. I’ve heard the Flex called a “giant wagon”, and after driving it, I’d have to say that’s pretty accurate! Because of the boxy shape, I [...]

Rink Rats Season Wrap Up

By | 2018-02-20T10:53:01+00:00 February 19th, 2018|Uncategorized|0 Comments

We just wrapped up another great season of Rink Rats! For those of you unfamiliar with the program, Rink Rats is a program that brings the great sport of hockey to kids who otherwise wouldn’t be able to experience it. The Herb Brooks foundation organizes the program, and for the past 6 years, we’ve partnered with them to provide transportation for their Minneapolis schools. We provide transportation in the fall for 2 schools, with more schools joining in the winter. This year, the winter program ran from January 8th-February 15th. We've rounded up a few stats and pictures to show how much this program means to us! Rink Rats By the Numbers 8 schools 21 days 40 sessions 85 Morrie's volunteers 115 kids
